Last updated: 2026-07-27

The Nomad Highlands is a level 15-20 region of limestone bluffs and deep Shrouded lowlands. It requires Flame level 4 and introduces Tin Ore, a key material for Bronze progression.

Priority route

  1. Unlock the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire.
  2. Mark safe routes around Umber Hollow and other deep Shroud.
  3. Mine Tin Ore in Shrouded mines and cave passages.
  4. Process Tin Bars and combine them with Copper Bars for Bronze.
  5. Gather Limestone and Fossilized Bone while exploring.
  6. Clear reachable Roots and Wells before leaving the region.
  7. Upgrade weapons and armor before pushing toward Kindlewastes.

The region's named mines include Mining Rift and Smothering Pit. Tin can occur in Nomad Highlands Shrouded mines and cave passages, but verify the vein at each location rather than assuming every mine contains it.

Smelting preparation

The standard Smelter recipe produces 3 Tin Bars from 15 Tin Ore, 5 Charcoal, and 2 Wood Acid. Bring back enough ore for complete batches and keep Copper Bars available for Bronze production.

Ready for Kindlewastes?

Reach Flame level 5, upgrade Bronze-tier equipment, carry strong healing and Shroud consumables, and leave inventory space for Iron Ore. The Blacksmith's Hearts Of Iron quest later marks Ridgeback Mine.
