Enshrouded Companion is a community-built fan site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Keen Games.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand page views, general device information, approximate region, referrals, and navigation patterns. It also uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated page views, referrers, general location, browser, operating-system, and device information. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies and does not associate its analytics data with a personally identifiable visitor.

Google and Vercel may process analytics data according to their respective privacy policies. You can limit analytics using browser privacy controls, a tracker blocker, or Google's analytics opt-out tools.

We also measure selected guide-navigation clicks and hosting comparison links becoming visible. These events contain sanitized page paths, fixed destination or section identifiers, and placement labels—not entered text, email addresses, build data or arbitrary URL query parameters. Visible-link events are exposure counts, not proof that someone read a recommendation or purchased anything.

Local browser data

Interactive tools may store progress and preferences in your browser's local storage. This information remains on your device unless a page explicitly states otherwise. Clearing site data removes it.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a qualifying purchase, Enshrouded Companion may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

Hosting referral links pass through our first-party redirect. We log the host ID, sanitized source page path, placement and timestamp in Vercel runtime logs, and send affiliate-click and hosting-page-click events to Vercel Analytics when available. Our structured click event does not include an IP address, email, full referrer URL or arbitrary query parameters. These are click counts, not confirmed purchases; automated traffic can also generate requests. Vercel's platform logs and analytics remain subject to its own processing and retention policies.

We also keep aggregate affiliate-click counters in Upstash Redis, grouped by Budapest calendar day, provider, sanitized source path and placement. These counters have no automatic expiry and contain no visitor identifier, IP address or purchase details. Storage failures can cause undercounting; automated requests can inflate counts. They are not a record of sales.

The hosting comparison also sends a fixed page-view event when its page becomes visible in a JavaScript-enabled browser. It increments a daily aggregate in the same store without a cookie or visitor ID. We compare those views with outbound hosting clicks; the ratio is not a unique-visitor conversion rate.

Editorial policy

Affiliate availability does not determine the order of recommendations. We aim to recommend products and services only where they fit a real Enshrouded use case, explain when a cheaper option is sufficient, and clearly label affiliate links. All external hosting links use our centrally configured affiliate URLs; hosts without an affiliate URL are shown without a link.

Third parties

When you leave this site, the destination provider may set cookies or collect information under its own privacy policy. Relevant providers may include Google, Vercel, Amazon, DatHost, Shockbyte, Nitrado, Supercraft, Apex Hosting, GPORTAL, and WinterNode.
