Data Sources and Verification

The official documentation, wiki references, in-game checks, community reports, and provider information used by Enshrouded Companion.

Enshrouded Companion combines several source types. Their reliability and purpose are not identical, so pages should make the distinction clear.

Official developer sources

Primary sources include:

These are preferred for release dates, supported configuration values, technical requirements, and developer statements.

Official wiki

The official Enshrouded Wiki is used for structured game data such as items, quests, regions, and progression requirements. Important tool values are checked against the current game version where practical.

Wiki material is summarized and reorganized rather than copied at length.

In-game verification

Original testing is most useful for:

  • Exact routes and landmarks.
  • User-interface behavior.
  • Requirements that vary by world setting.
  • Tool calculations.
  • Screenshots and marked locations.

Pages should state the tested version and avoid generalizing from one test when difficulty, server settings, or progression can change the result.

Community reports

Community posts can reveal undocumented behavior and newly introduced problems. They are treated as investigation leads unless several reproducible reports or a primary source confirm the claim.

Hosting and product information

Hosting features, prices, refund periods, datacenter locations, and product specifications can come from provider or retailer pages. These are third-party claims and can change without notice.

Affiliate relationships are disclosed separately in the Privacy and Affiliate Disclosure. Provider claims are not presented as independent hands-on testing.

Reporting outdated data

If a source has changed or a page no longer matches the live game, submit the page URL, game version, and evidence through the contact page.
