Enshrouded 1.0 Combat Changes: New Spells, Skills and Level Cap

Confirmed 1.0 combat additions: nine spells, summons, wand and archery changes, level caps 50/55, and the mandatory skill-tree reset.

Last updated: 2026-10-01

Confirmed (official): the changes below were announced by Keen Games on September 23 for 1.0. They are not the live v0.9.1.2 rules. Exact launch balance still needs release-build verification.

New spells

All nine announced additions:

  • Mana Drain
  • Entangle
  • Pillar of Flames
  • Blizzard
  • Ball Lightning
  • Summon Fire Totem
  • Summon Ice Totem
  • Summon Shock Totem
  • Summon Hollow Skeleton

Summons

Four of the spells summon totems or a skeleton. Two new skills increase how many skeletons and totems can be summoned at once. Their exact caps are not yet published in the information covered here. See the summoner build preview.

Eternal spells and upgrading

There are 22 Tier 7 Eternal spell versions. Eternal spells can be upgraded like weapons and armor. Mana costs and casting times are being rebalanced; avoid transferring current spell calculations directly into a 1.0 build.

Wand changes

Heavy attacks pierce enemies and can interrupt weaker targets. Aerial Wand Attack and Wand Evasion Attack add new options. Soft-lock and hard-lock targeting are improved.

Archer skills

Puncture, Barrage and Survival Instinct are announced. Final numerical effects and point paths will be verified after launch.

Eternal arrows

Fire, Shock and Bone are the new Eternal arrow types. These are upgradeable.

New enemy variants

Heavy and elite variants are coming for the Fell and Scavenger factions. Do not assume a familiar faction encounter has the same difficulty at 1.0.

Level cap 50/55

The player cap rises from 45 to 50, and equipment reaches 55. These increases accompany the new biome and a new enemy tier. The biome's name and exact level-50 skill-point total are not yet published.

Skill reset

Every character's skill tree resets because skills were added and moved. Reassign your points before leaving your base. Read what the reset does and does not confirm.

What we don't know yet

Not yet confirmed: final spell damage, casting values, exact skill-point totals, new recipes, save migration, and whether existing worlds receive the new biome. Keep a backup and use the 1.0 hub for the distinction between announcements and verified release data.
