The Bard, Valory, is rescued from the Sunken Ancient City, an underwater or flooded point of interest reached after you have grappling and diving options available. She is a specialist craftsperson rather than one of the five foundational rescues.
Why rescue the Bard?
Valory's stations produce:
- Musical instruments
- Backpacks for extra inventory space
- Comfort decorations for base-building and Rested planning
- Cosmetic items
Backpacks and comfort decorations are the most broadly useful outputs, since they affect inventory space and the passive Rested buff described in the Comfort guide.
Rescue checklist
- Locate the Sunken Ancient City point of interest.
- Prepare diving or underwater traversal options before entering.
- Reach Valory and interact with her Cinder Vessel.
- Return to a base inside an active Flame Altar area.
- Craft a Summoning Staff and place Valory.
Best early follow-up
Prioritize an early backpack upgrade if inventory space is limiting expedition length, then revisit her comfort decorations once you are optimizing a base for Rested duration.
