How to Get Shroud Cores in Enshrouded
Farm Shroud Cores from Fell bosses or craft them from Shroud Spores and Shroud Liquid, with recipes, locations, and uses.

The fastest early source of Shroud Cores is defeating the Fell bosses that guard Elixir Wells and Shroud Roots. After rescuing the Alchemist, you can also craft 1 Shroud Core from 10 Shroud Spores and 10 Shroud Liquid.
Do not confuse a Shroud Core with a Shroud Nexus. Cores are a crafting material; a Nexus is the destructible growth used to clear a Shroud objective.

How to craft Shroud Cores
Rescue the Alchemist, place him at a sheltered base, and use his crafting menu. The recipe is:
- 10 Shroud Spores;
- 10 Shroud Liquid;
- produces 1 Shroud Core.
Defeat weaker Fell creatures for Shroud Spores. Gather Shroud Liquid from low mushrooms and large growths on the ground inside Shrouded areas. A short route with dense enemies and vegetation lets you collect both ingredients in the same run.
Best farming method
For the first few Cores, kill an accessible Fell Thunderbrute and clear nearby Shroud enemies and mushrooms. Craft the remaining Cores instead of waiting only for boss resets. Later, combine a Wispwyvern or Dragon Youngling run with other regional objectives so the larger boss drops are a bonus rather than the sole purpose of the trip.
Bring Shroud-time food, healing, a ranged option, and enough inventory room. Destroying a Root or clearing a Well may change the immediate area, so collect visible mushrooms before finishing the objective.
What Shroud Cores are used for
Shroud Cores are required by several important progression and base recipes, including:
